SAT Scholarships in India
College Board has joined hands with top Indian universities to form a consortium of educational institutions, called the India Global Alliance. The Alliance provides a platform to Indian educational institutions to engage with some of the world’s most prominent and high-profile universities, including the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), the University of Cambridge, Columbia University, McGill University, the University of Hong Kong among others.
As part of the initiative, India Global Alliance universities will also accept SAT scores for the purposes of admission intakes. Additionally, the participating universities will offer scholarships to the top performers in SAT, based on their financial need.
Sat Preparation: How to Prepare for the SAT
College Board has officially partnered with Khan Academy, the popular educational platform providing online tools and resources for students, to offer free practice for the SAT on mobile devices and computers. With the official SAT practice platform, students can benefit from personalized practice plans. The practice plans are customized according to a student’s diagnostics. The objective of this partnership is to provide a world-class resource for SAT preparation to all students, completely free of cost.
There are four test administrations or admins for the SAT in India. These occur in the months of March, May, October, and December. The test is administered at over 80 test centres in more than 40 cities across India.
The College Board India Scholars Program is applicable for the three remaining admins in 2019. Students can also avail the Sat Fee Discount for taking the SAT on these dates.
